Courtney and her husband Ben moved to Eau Claire from Minneapolis in 2010 when Ben accepted a job in the area. She joined JLEC upon the recommendation of a friend as a great way to meet people. She is very appreciative of the many friendships she has made and also values the awareness the organization brings to the needs of the Eau Claire community along with providing an opportunity to make a difference.

Sue Mertens - President Elect
Originally from the Twin Cities, Sue and her husband Troy moved to Eau Claire in 2014 when Troy accepted a job in the area. Sue has  one son (John) who lives in Rosemount, MN. Sue joined Junior League last year upon a friends recommendation.  Becoming involved in Junior League has fulfilled a desire to give back and be a part of the community.  Sue's background includes management roles in a Fortune 500 Company as well as several positions in sales and marketing. Sue enjoys reading, long walks and traveling.

Amy Weiss - Treasurer
My husband and I moved back to Eau Claire from River Falls in April 2014. We both grew up here and have family in the area. We have two children: Calvin is five and Nora is two. We also have a German Shepherd dog and two cats. Our house is very noisy and busy! I love to read and drink wine. I used to lead a book club called Read Between the Wines. If anyone is interested, it would be great to start it up again in Eau Claire! This is my third year in Junior League. It has been a great way to meet fun women, and to find out about and serve the needs of our community.

Leslie Lyons
Leslie Lyons - Secretary
Leslie and her family moved to Eau Claire from St. Louis, Missouri in 2007. Leslie and her husband, Phil, have three boys; two in high school and one in 5th grade. She fills her time by volunteering with numerous groups including the PTO at her youngest son's school. She enjoys reading and sewing. She works at Stitch Supply Co. If anyone wants to take up the hobby of quilting, let her know! Soon after their move to Eau Claire, Leslie joined JLEC as a way to get to know people and to learn about her new community. Once involved, she was impressed with the rich history that League has in the area. She is proud to be part of an organization that has accomplished so much for the community and is excited for what we can add to League's legacy going forward.
