The Giving Tree
We are starting our second year of the Giving Tree. For those of you not yet familiar with the Giving Tree, the premise of the Giving Tree project is for a community organization to provide JLEC with a "needs/wish list" of small items. The goals of this project being:
- To provide organizations with support of a few items that would potentially make a big impact on their bottom line.
- To continue promoting awareness of League’s impact on the community.
- Continue to provide the membership with a feeling that individually and as a League we are making a difference each month within our community
On, September 20th at the September GMM, a survey was taken to determine the Giving Tree recipients for the 2011-2012 year. The following six organizations received the most votes and will be the Giving Tree recipients for 2011-2012.

Sojourner House - March
Bolton Refuge House - April
Feed My People Food Bank - May
We want to make sure you know how even a small item can make a big difference in someone's life. We are so excited that our Giving Tree project is underway again this year, and looking forward to the upcoming months when JLEC will continue to make an impact in our community!
